Io adoro i Musical! Lo so, lo so, l’ho gia detto.
Venerdi siamo andate a vedere “The Light Princess” al
National Theatre.
“Once, in opposing kingdoms lived a princess and a prince
who had lost their mothers. Althea,
unable to cry, became light with grief and floated, and so was locked away. Digby
became so heavy-hearted that he could never smile, and so was trained as a
warrior.”
The Light Princess e’
principi guerrieri.
The Light Princess e’ una
The Light Princess e’ una
trasposizione teatrale sono state scritte da Tori Amos e Samuel Adamson.Tori Amos: anche lei eroina dai capelli rossi. Che bello il suo modo di fare musica, quel suo saltellare da una una nota all’altra;
“Never
was a cornflake girl, Thought that was a good solution. Hanging with the raisin
girls. She's gone to the other side. Givin us a yo heave ho. Things are getting
kind of gross. And I go at sleepy time. This is not really happening. You bet
your life it is”
Da una fiaba ad un sobborgo;
“Mamma got shit. She loved a brown man. Then she built a bridge in the
Sheriff's bed. She'd do anyting to save her man. You see her olives are cold
pressed. And her best friend is a sun dress. But Momma: It wasn't my bullet”
Dalla serenita’ alla
frustrazione di non essere all’altezza.
“Mother the car is here. Somebody leave the light on.
Black Chariot for the redhead. Dancing dancing girl And when I dance for him. Somebody leave the light on just in case. I
like the dancing. I can remember where I come from”
“Got a kick for a dog. Beggin' for Love. I gotta have my
suffering. So that I can have my cross. I know a cat named Easter. He says will you ever learn. You're just an
empty cage girl. If you kill the bird”
Perfetta l’interpretazione.
I do not fly, I float.
Ripete piu’ volte
Althea, la protagonista della fiaba.
E davvero fluttua la
ragazza dai capelli rossi. Come? vi chiederete.
I veri protagonisti
della serata.
Una serata magica, una
serata da Mighty Girl.
“And then the Prince and the Princess married and lived
HappilyEverAfter. But...not before that the Princess had gone to Harvard and had
become a Marine Biologist, you know. And me? Well I became prime minister of
the Kingdom, of course.”
“And I became her husband.”
“Peal
our the watchword
Just peel out the watchword
Never was a cornflake girl
Thought that was a good solution
Rabbit where'd you put the keys girl
And the man with the golden gun thinks he knows so much
Thinks he knows so much
Rabbit where'd you put the keys girl”
Just peel out the watchword
Never was a cornflake girl
Thought that was a good solution
Rabbit where'd you put the keys girl
And the man with the golden gun thinks he knows so much
Thinks he knows so much
Rabbit where'd you put the keys girl”
